Nate's arrival in Tokyo

Tonight I met up with my brother, Nate, as he arrived in Shinjuku from the airport. We took a cab with his luggage to nearby Sasazuka, where he will be living for the next few months. He is here with Yale money to work on his prospectus. Because he is so "Ivy League" he can afford to live in a beautiful one room apartment near Shinjuku with a fully-stocked kitchen and all the comforts Tokyo has to offer a young bachelor. Plus, he has a sweet view of Shinjuku's skyline (see above). To celebrate his arrival in Japan, we went out to eat...for Italian food. It was better than my concoction from last night, though: yakisoba with tofu, egg, and "natto" (fermented soybeans). Mmmmm...ugghh...
